So I have a pole competition coming up and I'm worried about my hands getting too sweaty. they seem to sweat a lot, especially because of adrenaline, nerves, and exercising. I've noticed in my pole videos that i wipe my hands alot and it's not cute. i definitely don't want to do that during the competition because it looks awful and wastes time, but if i don't, i'll surely fall on my head!

anyways, i've tried grip aids. i've tried mighty grip, dry hands, and itac. i hated mighty grip and itac cuz they feel sticky and do not prevent the sweating. i liked dry hands the best but it wears off way too quickly. I'm seriously thinking about ordering some pole gloves. It would probably talke some getting used to but i would practice several times with them on beforehand. the problem is, i don't want to become dependant on gloves because i might not want to wear them all the time. plus, they don't always match my outfit and i think it kind of looks like you're cheating. i've seen someone on youtube poling with gloves and she was stunning, so i guess they work for her… but i still didn't like how it looks and that it seems like cheating…. so what do u think about pole gloves? yea or nay?

i didn't know they might take points off! well it's a local thing, not a big deal. but i don't want ppl to think, "well, the only reason she can do that is cuz she's wearing gloves"… they say the gloves should be snug and u should put mighty grip on your hands to prevent the slipping.

i'm thinking about using tite grip to prevent the sweating and using dry hands on top.

Have you ever tried using an antiperspirant on your hands to see if that will help with the sweating?

Yes, definitely try Tite Grip for the sweating. I heard of that trick before, Tite Grip 30-60 minutes prior and then Dry Hands on top. That mostly worked for the old Tite Grip but with the new Tite Grip II Lavender, you don't have to combine at all. It lasts much longer, dries more, and no residue.

If you order from http://www.titegrip.com , you'll get your order within a couple days!! (if within the US. haha) Fast shipping. 😉

With gloves, it's great to have them for training purposes but def not at the actual competition. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the advice. Just ordered my tite grip… if it doesn't work, then i just hope nobody notices my annoying habit of wiping my hands

^ Yay! Hope it works for you too and no wiping happens!

For optimal use, apply 30-60 minutes prior to warming up. Then reapply before poling and as needed. Before the competition, same thing, especially the minute before you go on stage! Haha!
