My first ever competition!
So, I decided that this year I would challenge myself and enter my first ever pole competition. Ive been poling regularly since last June but on and off for about 3 years total, and feel confident (as you can) with my strength and stamina to perform a routine, but Ive never performed in front of anyone before and Im really worried about my nerves, and thanks to my very sweaty hands a slippy pole!
To top it off I expected I would be entering in at an intermediate level, but my instructor is confident that im actually ready for the advanced catagory. I think this is to do with the types of moves this competition allows at each level, ie you can only do handsprings and most shoulder mounts (among other moves) as an advanced competitor.
Does anyone out there have advice about you first time competing?
Also how the hell do you pick a song? Ive put together a list of about 7 to choose from, but I like then all equally!
