    Hey Veeners!

I posted a pic on facebook of me doing a lotus pose on the pole (pretty much a lotus from yoga but upside down with your scorpio leg hooked) teasing about pole and yoga. A non-poler friend of mine saw it and made me a challenge: do the entire Sun Salutation on a pole. So naturally I Barney Stinsoned and said "Challenge Accepted!" And now I'm reaching out to all of you for inspiration and to help me piece this together!

Originally I thought it would be super cool to do the whole thing upside down in one shot but realistically I just don't think I can. So I'm thinking of filming what I can together and otherwise just cutting to the next move and some moves will be right side up and some upside down or sideways but all aerial and involving the pole. Here's what I have so far for ideas (for reference, it's close to the sun salutation A on this site http://www.rateyoga.com/surya-namaskara/ ):

Beginning of sun salutation (Samasthiti to Trini inhale): Crucifix, and then bend over into a drama queen

Chatuari to Pancha: Go into a handstand and descend in cobra

    Shat/Downward facing dog: D

End (Sapta inhale to Samasthiti): Drama queen coming back to crucifix

So what do you think?? Keep in mind I'm not a ridiculously strong poler. Anyway I'd love suggestions, or if you feel like it, pole sun salutations of your own!

I'm not sure how to help you with your project, but there are a few videos going around of people doing a full lotus spin- basically you get into it from Scorpio, like you did.  I have a video on my page you could check out.

Wow, great challenge.  I love both yoga and pole.  I don't have any suggestions at the moment, but I can't wait to see the finished product!

This sounds like a fun challenge!

How about a (stationary) caterpillar for Chatuari to Pancha, this way you don't need to use the floor at all 🙂
