Help! My progress is stalled and I need something to work on. I can do Gemini, Scorpio, butterfly, Extended BF, Flatline Scorpio, and CAR very well. Superman is good. Hate knee hold. Too ouchy. Working to get SM consistent and Jade flat. I can do aerial inverts and I’m working hard on back flexibility, dance, and splits. I know. It’s a lot. I should be happy and quite busy with that. But, the d*@# Ayesha has me stalled and frustrated and I think I need something else fun to work on for a while until I’m strong enough to hold my own butt up 🙂
I love drops and do the sad girl, falling star, and holly drop quite often. Anyone have any ideas for something fun like that??? Thanks!

what about some combos, do you want some combo ideas?

    shoulder dismounts?

spinning scorpio switches? outside to inside leg hang switches?

    reverse ayshas?

    allegra?

    caterpillars/caterpillar climbs?

I don't know what the falling star or holly drops are, I will try to find those to try them!

Have you tried Amy's Tuesday Tips (Thursday now)?  She had a cartwheel dismount recently, aerial body waves, booty bouncing, yogini….fun stuff!

When I get frustrated with a move, I poke around wikipole.org, poledancedictionary.com, and the poldance community syllabus to get ideas of moves I can attempt. In fact, I usually print a huge pile of pole pix so I can remember which ones I want to try on a later date.

I use poledancedictionary.com and poledancecommunity.co.uk a lot, but I had never heard about wikipole before. Thanks sensualscimitar! 🙂

Thanks ladies. I sooooo hate wasting my time staring at my pole wondering what to try next. And, boy do I feel stupid for not thinking of Scorpio switches. I remember wanting them a long time ago. How did I ever forget about them??? I like the pix idea too. And, body waves and booty work…yum! I think I’ll check you tube for some fun ways to get out of Superman. My standard move for that is jump off the pole and grab my tender ladies parts and cry….lol! There’s gotta be a better move than that out there. Thanks again! I think I have enough to keep me busy 🙂

Sparrow, are you saying you do a superman and they let go with your top hand, tuck and fall forward into some other move?  Scary, but I would love to see some videos of this.  I  have often thought  that could be done…….

Emotioncatcher has a vid on YT of her doing it.  I have tried it a few times but it still freaks me.

You can start learning it by putting your bottom hand on the pole and guide yourself into place.  Once you're comfortable with that you can bypass that step. 😉

For me I am uncomfortable getting into superman from a pike so that is the reason this freaks me.  That and I don't want to smash my face on the pole…..
