Hair Extensions…the truth!
Posted by staygold on March 24, 2012 at 11:59 pmI am very curious how many of you have hair extensions – what methods do you prefer? the pros and cons? considering the maintenance is it worth it in your opinion? thanks for your input!

I wear clips in when i want long or curly hair etc,i think getting them glued in etc isnt good for your hair then you have to go back every 6 weeks, plus it costs alot of money.I use the jessica simpson ones and also the six piece ones that you can brush and curl etc as sythetic ones arent very good at all.No one ever notices ive even got them in,plus then you can wash your hair with ease,i had the other ones that stay in and they where a pain.Hope that helps 🙂

I normally get the microring ones done, I can't be bothered with clipins everyday. They can get annoying and hurt your head to begin with and I even got headaches. Once you are used to them they are fine but maintenance is every 6-8 weeks. I am getting glue in ones next time which I have before and didn't like them as much but am going to give them another go.

I bought the clip in and I never wore them out-too heavy! Will probably sell them on ebay for 60.00. They are 18-20in, a set of 7/8 clip ins.

I wear mine for performances or when I want long hair. I bought Euronext from Sallys Beauty supply. I also dyed them to match my current hair color. They have a tendency to get knotted up quckly but I keep a comb by just in case. I think I might need another weft to really transform me but its been working. People have actually thought the extenstions were my own hair.

I have been using the best remy human hair extensions from http://www.ludischarminginstinct.com at $119 and I always prefer the braid-in method to put on extensions and this method allows the extensions to blend well with my natural hair and make it look fuller and longer.

Sally Beauty sells some relatively cheap ones that I like to thicken up a little bit. I got some off of clip fancy.com and they’re gorgeous, good quality, come in different textures, are long, and the price is decent. Check ’em out.

I’ve been using Euronext 18″ dark brown from Sally’s for about a year now. Love them! They did have a strong chemical/hair dye smell to them when I got them but that has dissipated. I’ve washed them maybe 3 or 4 times now. They are clip in and work great. I only wear 2 wefts in the back and 3 of the small pieces along the sides/front.

I have alpha girl extensions they are the best!!They wefts are so thick that I only need 2-3 tracks and that’s PLENTY!Its very easy and people are shocked when they find out I’m wearing extensions because they blend so well with my hair and the colors don’t even match completely. You can send a pic of your hair and they will color match you. Coustomer service is top notch. I can’t say enough good things about their hair extensions. They will last you 2 years plus!!! They are a must for me on special occasions
