How do you train for poling w/o getting buff??? I do yoga (ashtanga, vinyasa), some pilates, some gymnastics, dance, and I'm at the gym all the time. But I have to admit, that there are some moves that I just cannot get w/o strength training on nautilus equipment 🙁

I've tried really hard to stay away from it (I don't want big shoulders 🙁 but I cannot do deadlifts and TG holds w/o doing my assited military pull-ups at the gym and shoulder presses 🙁 But now my shoulders are BIG! Argh! What to do what to do???

More muscular shoulders makes your waist look smaller https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I probably wouldn't worry about it though, because we were naturally so overly-critical of our own bodies; your shoulders are probably not nearly as "big" as you think they are!  As far as I've seen, many (if not most) of the polers here are not "buff," just toned/fit!

Also forgot to say… while getting more toned…. I feel more equal when i do yoga. If that makes sence. Istead of feeling bigger and stiff, i feel flexible and strong. Balanced =) But i also try to go to the park an work on pull ups push ups squats sit ups crunches just to fasten the process.
