“lazy abs” when inverting
Hi! I've not been around the site long so I'm not sure whether anyones posted this before so sorry if it's a repeat!
I'm currently working on my aerial invert and shoulder mount and last night my instructor told me I have "lazy" abs and that until now I've been relying on the momentum from my legs to invert (I have pretty long legs and get momentum from swinging them into the move -not kicking don't worry!)
Does anybody have any tips I could use to stop relying on my legs so much and use my abs a more? I'm not sure whether I need to improve the strength of them or if the strength is there and I'm just not using it!
