    Hi everyone,

I have student graduations coming up and I would like to give each of the girls a little gift for their graduation along with a certificate.

Initially I was going to give them each a little top with my studio logo embroidered on it and maybe a cute little saying like "i love pole" or something to that effect.  My problem is this – all the ladies are different sizes (obviously) so I would have to buy the top according to the size I think they are.  What if I buy one of the ladies a large and she is a medium, or any other combination?  I don't want to offend anyone!

In South Africa, the sizing is very hard to determine as it all depends on the actual piece of clothing.  In some items I may be a medium, in others a large and even an x-large in others.

So, besides asking each of them for their sizing (which would spoil the surprise) what other ideas do you have.

They are all working hard for their graduation and I want it to be as special as possible.

Looking forward to hearing all your ideas https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

My studio gives out colored garters upon completion of the graduation perfomance, a different color for each level. My level 1 garter was white, my level 2 was baby blue, and level 3 was red. I haven't completed levels 4-6 yet, so I don't know what they are. After our performance for level 1, we were told that we would get a surprise. One by one, we had to go up to a pole and the instructor gave a brief speech and then asked us to raise our leg and they put the garter on us, saying that we had lost our "pole virginity". It was really cute.

Is there a way you could put a coupon good for one free top in it and have them pick their size for themselves?

    This is sweet:)

How about some more great ideas ladies? I am thinking perhaps wrist bands, pole bags or anything of that nature that can be personalized. I need some more great ideas so keep them coming!

I really like the pole bag idea. Wristband is cool too or even a pole charm – maybe a bulk order can get a lower price so it would be affordable to get one for each student.

I recorded my students performing their level 1 routine and gave them each a DVD so they can show off what they have learned.  At first they were hesitant to be recorded, but afterwards they loved the DVD's and have showed their families!  🙂

Recording their performances is a fantastic idea. Does anyone know how easy/hard it is to make garters?
I am thinking a garter, certificate and then presenting them with their dvd the next time they come to class.
Thank you all for your wonderful ideas!

Garters should be pretty easy – piece of elastic, a bit of lace and ribbon….you could make different colours or combinations (pink, blue, black and pink or black and white etc.) and let them pick their favourite maybe.

For pole singlets/tops, maybe a voucher and then they can pick their size themselves.

At the studio I used to go to, we each had a photo taken doing a move we'd learned during the course (the studio also had a "dress up" box so you could choose a costume), and were then presented with a certificate with the photo in it, at the end.of the course, when we had a little party with (non-alcoholic) wine and chocolates.

I like the personalised towel idea.

Or how about a personalised water bottle with their name and the studio's logo or name on it?
