    Hello pretty ladies!

    The other day i had my first workshop with zoraya judd!! (it was sooo amazing!) and she showed us how to do a butterfly straight to jackknife. I never perfected it in class but i did at home.. Now the question i have is where do i look?! Do you look up at your knees? Straight foward at the pole? or any where else?

    Any tips to help me hold this move longer, stronger and prettier would really help 🙂

    Xx

    I would play around and see what works best for you.  Looking up at the pole, knees or ceiling, and also looking down or straight at the pole. I normally look right inline with the pole not up or down. You can see it here https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/f7c4b1f6-b91e-11df-856f-001b214581be

    If you're taking a photo you can look at the camera as well. Like this https://www.studioveena.com/galleries/view/4f883118-12e4-4d82-bfe9-250c0ac37250

    The Jackknife is currently on my wish list.  What are key points going from Butterfly to Jackknife?  Is it easier/harder than from Straight Edge to it?

    Thank you veena! 🙂

    @hookedonpole
    Zoraya showed us to go into a full extended butterfly. Then bring your free leg foward and sort of “push” the hooked foot on the pole off . I had a friend hold my hips in the transition and she slowly let me go once i was in the full jackknife (and found my balance). I cant do a straight edge or ayesha. This is my first “legs off pole” kind of move.. So, i guess that means its easier? I hope this helps and let me know how you go. Xx
