Does anybody out there have experience/advice about using a splits machine?  I don't think my middle splits have improved at all in like three months- even using weights to deepen the stretch- and I'm about ready to try anything.

So, splits machine: actually helpful, or expensive rip-off?

I think Shellectra has or had one at one point. She would be able to give you some feedback maybe 😉

I’m in the same spot as you Ellektra. My front splits are down to the floor on both sides after 3 months of doing Pure splits 3-4 times a week, but the middle splits are far from the ground still! I bought a ballet band and will let you all know if it works. You can google it, it’s pretty cheap and looks like it could help push your straddles deeper.

Grrrr, I'm the opposite-center splits perfect- right side 1 in, left side 2-3 in, Sometimes right side slides into split…but have to b way warm

Using a foam roller can work nicely in place of a machine…..my guess its it's cheaper too, and of course you can use it for other things as well!

I demonstrate how in this routine, I think it's near the end around min 19. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4e2d837d-6f9c-46f6-93df-22110ac37250

When I was learning it, I just used my doorway. I put my legs on either side of the doorway then I used my elbows to crawl through bit by bit like some Japanese horror movie monster. I looked kind of creepy but it was effective and free https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
