    hi guys,

i have a BIG problem: i accidentally unscrewed the screws you are NOT supposed to touch at the very bottom of my x-pole. now the cover for the height adjuster won't go over them, it's stuck down there because they show a tiny little bit. i can't figure out what to do to make it work again, i mean, i can not put it up like that! 🙁

what do you think, do i have to throw it away and buy a new one, or is it something that i can fix? please HELP!

Make sure that they are lined up with the grooves that are in the threaded section.  I have a feeeling that they are not and this is why they are sticking out a bit.

i guess you meant that the screws should be directly above the flat section, but i can't move them apart!

Unscrew the screws, tunr the pole so the screw holes are in the center of the flat section, then retighten the screws.

It looks like the other part of your pole ALSO needs to be alighed with the flat part…

EXACTLY what sensual said.  This is in the instructions and is a part that everyone seems to gloss over.

I do not understand by what you mean by not being able to move them apart.

first of all, ladies, thank you for helping! what i meant is, that i can not turn the part where the screws are so that the holes come to lie above the flat section, not the grilled section as it is now. i guess i have to find a smith or someone really strong to move these two parts (or one, that is) so that the holes/screws are in the right place again. thank you!
