So I can do both a true grip and twisted grip handspring, but I can't for the life of me figure out if there's a way to get into a true grip from the pole so I can practice my X from a descent. To get into a twisted grip aysha from the pole I of course just caterpillar and position my top hand, but that just doesn't work for true grip. I prefer my right hand on top and my left hand on bottom in true grip, if someone could help me out lol.

I feel like my true grip is actually a lot stronger than my twisted, when I'm practicing from the floor — I'm much closer to a true grip lift than I am a twisted grip lift and it feels much more stable in my positioning. I just have no way to strengthen my true grip other than handspringing over and over or trying to swing up into an X.

And are there other tricks/combos I can use true grip with?
