Hey everyone! Lately, I have had heaps of stress to deal with which unfortunately causes me to have little or no appetite. In addition to that I am "mostly" vegetarian. I hate to put a label on it, because I am still trying to transition into "fully" vegetarian…but that said, I don't eat red meat. The little meat I consume is white meat. So I am concerned that my iron levels are low because I am dealing with EXTREME fatique lately. I decided to go to the doctor to have my blood levels checked…but I have been anemic before and this feels similar. So basically, when I was anemic before, literally every iron pill I took made me sooo sick. Has anyone tried Floradix? I think it's a liquid iron supplement. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck with liquid iron. Thanks!

Have you considered taking a vegetarian supplement? They will give you a good range of all needed vitamins Also do you eat things with lots of vitamin C, vit c helps absorption of iron if you eat both things in the same meal. I would definitely go for blood work if your worried about it and have a history of anemia. Do you drink a lot of milk? Milk can make iron absorption difficult for vegetarians

There is a product here in Lithuania, called Hematogen. It's a candy bar that consists of processed cow blood and other ingredients, such as sugar, milk, vanillin, etc. I eat a bar when I feel I need to charge my batteries. I'm not sure, though, if there's such a product in the U.S. or, as a matter of fact, anywhere else, except Russia. I guess, it's just an idea for you if you can find anything similar. If you're not eating meat because you don't like the taste of it, I guess, you would be good to go because the candy is actually very tasty. However, if you're vegetarian because of moral beliefs, this probably wouldn't suit you 🙂
