I'm pretty sure 12 feet is the maximum recommended height for non-permanent poles like X-Pole and Platinum Stages. You can go higher though if you install permanent ceiling mounts. You should probably talk to the company directly for advice.

I believe their max height is around 10 or 11 feet. I know it is wel below 18. You might need to get a stage in your situation…

    Poledanzer.

X and PS make poles that will handle the height but you have to let them know it HAS to be reinforced.  They both have been on here in the past and said they do not recommend anything at that height without the perm mount.  PD is going to be the same.  At that height it just is not safe.

Watch the vids from this past years LA Pole Show.  Even at 18 feet and reinforced the poles have bent in the middle from use.

They will run a steel sleeve through the inside of the pole so it is not just the tube…basically making it a double thick.  The inside tubing is of a different and stronger grade metal than the pole itself.

I know there have been threads about this but for some reason I cannot seem to fnd them….

X-pole calls this their “competition/studio” setup I believe, it’s not listed as something for purchase on the website itself but rather something they mention that you can do specially, so you’ll definitely need to call or email. I’m sure if you tell them your ceiling height they’ll just set you up with everything you need.
