Routine: any ideas on music?
Posted by LizziePole on September 12, 2012 at 5:57 pmHey guys some of us have been asked to do a routine for our xmas party, and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on music. I would like something more sultry rather than bump and grind becuase I know alot of other people will be doing that and I want to do something different, also I know if I have a slower piece of music and can dance slower and not get out of breath. I was even thinking of doing like a funny piece to a more obscure piece of music, something from a musical?
Anyone got any ideas? So far I'm thinking for sultry Peggy Lee- Fever, Etta James -At Last, Etta James – I just want to make love to you.

There are many slow sultry versions of santa baby although I'm guessing that will be the obvious choice. I like covers of christmas songs that don't sound like the original, that way if people have the same song it's usually a different version. Brian Setzer does a really cute swing/big band version of "you're a mean one, mr. grinch" that i've always wanted to dance to, it would work great for a cheeky cute number! Good luck!

A little obvious maybe but how about Santa Baby? It's festive yet slow & sultry…there is the risk that someone else might use the same song though I suppose. I quite like this version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXCe0NZm3_k
Or there's Baby its Cold Outside, not quite as slow/sultry but maybe less obvious and could be fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTNheCEUP_A ?Sorry if it's not quite what you're looking for, I just got a bit excited about xmas routines!

From my iPod Christmas playlist:
B.B. King – Merry Christmas Baby
Dean Martin – The Christmas Blues
Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton – Hard Candy Christmas (one of my favs!)
Sawyer Brown – Please Come Home for Christmas
Timbuk 3 – All I Want for Chistmas (not what you think it is)

I have this great 3 cd set from Pottery Barn froma few years back called Cool Christmas. It is all sorts of jazzy/bluesy versions of Christmans songs. I will find it later and get you some songs.
I also have found a few dubstep Christmas songs that I have fallen in love with.
Again, once I get home to my computer I will rattle away.

Christmas dubstep!!! I’m totally in love with the concept. Surprisingly, there is more Christmas dubstep out on the interwebs than I had originally expected.
I’ll post them later once I’m on a proper computer! -

Thanks for that girlies!! That forum helped also I’m liking the songs santa baby by the pussy car dolls and that sexy, saucy, sometimes naughty time of year song! They’re both good Xmas songs for pole dancing!
Some of the other songs are abit samey throughout the song and I could imagine that could get alittle boring because we’re on static poles and I’m limited on my moves and stamina 🙂Any more suggestions Id much appreciate it doesn’t need to be Xmas songs 🙂
