I'm not in the exact same boat, but you are definitely not too old to be doing the things you love! There are older women here who have trained long and hard to be able to do things that I can only dream of being able to do at my level. Recently I've been bitten in the butt by the fitness bug and can't wait to be able to do all sorts of things like headstands and splits and just to work out. Enthusiasm is great and it is the biggest motivator, but you also need to keep in mind your skill level and where your limits may be (for now.) Everyone starts as a beginner and works their way up from there. 🙂

Just do it. Don't let the time it takes to accomplish your goals deter you because if you do I'll bet that in one year, two years or three years you will probably still want to do all these things and wish you had started at your current age.

Oh to be 29 again…….girl, you got youth on your side.  Unfortunatlly we can't turn back the time of our aging years.  So take today and go with it!  I would love to be your age again!

I think the best way to stop feeling old is to disregard age completely. I dont even celebrate birthdays!! If u dont have a birthday, u wont age 🙂 i do whatever i want- i skated in the park yesterday in booty shorts and neon orange knee high socks. i put purple and pink in my hair and i will continue to do so til i die 😀

I turned 29 this summer and have never been stronger in my life!  Since I started pole dancing 3 years ago, I have gotten stronger, more flexible, lost weight and inches, and overall I just feel better and more fit than I ever have (even though I was skinny as a teenager, I was very weak, and not really overall that fit).  I figure since things have continued to improve instead of deteriorate over the last 3 years, I'm not going to worry about the next 3, or 5, or 10!  I don't worry about how I'm supposed to feel or act as I approach 30, I just go with it.  🙂

Hi.  Last summer I was about the same weight but still wanted to pole!  I'm also turning 29 in a few months.  Granted I've done other things and changed my eating habits, but I've lost weight while poling.  I feel sooo much more confident about myself and my fiance can see little improvements in my body (more toned, etc).  Just give it a try and lots of time (it takes getting used to the bruises!).  I'm always so amazed at myself when I get a new move.  It seems to take me longer than your average poler but I don't care.  I also don't do it quite as much 🙂  It just makes those victories so much more sweeter!

Last year I was 29 & 183 lbs. last year I started making a bucket list because life was either just beginning or ending. I didn’t know which attitude I was going to hold. I started to let depression capture me. I was energetic, weak, and grossly underweight in my teens & thru college I became the best student, not good person to myself.
My bucket list was to learn dance- as many forms as possible, develop flexibility, strength, confidence in myself, become less cynical.Get healthy! Along with more items on my bucket list. Above mentioned are the things I can say I’m attempting everyday with no check box near them so it’s always a work in progress. I like it that way! Poling awaken me to be a better me. Sometimes I’m blue sometimes I’m tickled pink. I think everyone is a various times.
If it works make your bucket list be busy getting old.
