@Nolaelle The flexibility ones are great. I've used the pure splits in combination with the 6 weeks splits program and did my first front split a few weeks ago. Also I use stretching for the pole which has been improving my back flexibility. I definitely recommend her DVDs.

I have the floor and sexy fundamentals which have good moves to learn but because I have a few other pole areas that I'm a bit focused on right now I haven't gotten to those two as yet.

I loved the pure splits so much she has great warms up to get you to the actual split. The sexy floor work and sexy fundamentals are really great and challenging and a great challenge as for the pole stretches its okay and good ways to spice up your pole stretching

You will not be disappointed! I am in love with my Alethea DVDs… her New Sexy Fundamentals and Floorword are produced in a way that they are total eye candy. I have learned many things from each DVD and they continue to challenge me. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

I think the stretching DVDs are great but Sexy Fundamentals and the Floorwork DVDs are lacking. They seem to be more about showcasing Alethea's talent rather than teaching you anything in a meaningful manner. I used to suck at floorwork but I'm getting better from dancing at the club. I wish the Floorwork DVD would be easier to understand but she runs through everything so quickly without much explanation that it's lost on me. 🙁

I have to agree with mkalis12. They are great DVDs but those to I have to pause and slow it down for it to be broken down and rewind over and over again. But ehh its better than nothing. They are still pretty cool tricks

I had a different experience with the floorwork and fundamentals and didn't have any difficulty following her instruction. There is verbal instruction while showing the move and then she also demonstrates the moves in combinations. I understand it is a matter of personal opinion and learning style. We will not all find the same things meaningful.

I have paused a DVD to just practice the move to my own music before continuing on or have worked through an entire DVD following the DVD timing. It really just depends on my mood and goals for that session.

I use the floorwork and pure splits often. The sexy fundamentals and stretching for pole, not as often. I hang onto them because they are still good resources for me. I just need some time management help to make more DVD time.

I also think the sexy fundamentals and floorwork dvds are too simple. I think they are specially for beginners or people who are advanced in tricks but have SERIOUS problems with flow or have never gone to any type of dancing classes. For someone advanced most of the stuff she teaches here are obvious. She takes a lot of time to explain very simple stuff and the most difficult moves are explained briefly more like "and if you are advanced you can practice this one". There was a particular move I was expecting to find there that I really wanted to learn and I didn't get it more than I got it from watching here doing it in her dances. I think the dvds are very cool and useful for beginners and it would be awesome if in the future there was another one  for advanced students (specially advanced floorwork). Also, there are a lot of things she does that I would love her to teach in the dvds that weren't there ): I hope they are in the next.

I didn't buy the dvds because I don't own a credit card. I friend bought them and she invited me to watch them with her because she doesn't speak english and needed translation. And for my friend there was NOTHING "obvious" or "easy". So I realised that though I was surpirsed that some simple stuff were explained, the target of the dvds are people who need to slow down and pay attention to simple details, people who do not take dancing lessons and have to learn how to make their body look pretty when they move and how to create figures when you pose and dance; and they are starting on that from scratch.

Oh, I think the flexibility dvd was great and for every level, there was even some stuff there I had never seen before (like the felix stretch, I didn't know that one).
