i’m pretty flexible naturally, i am prob 2 or 3 inches away from front splits, but my front kicks are awful! i can barely kick so my leg is 90 degrees with my other leg! how can i improve this kind of flexibility specifically? also idk if i asked this before but i was having a hard time finding the post if i did.

It’s not so much flexibility you needs to work on but strength through your range of motion. When you are in your splits you are stretching passively, the floor is goign the work by pushing your legs apart. In a high kick, you need to pull your own leg into position with your own strength. Also, when you kick to the front, it’s not just your legs doing the kicking, you need to engage your core, pretend you are trying to pull your belly button to your back. Strengthening your quads and your core will help you get a good high kick if your are already flexible on the ground.
