Thinking of starting a local pole jam group
Hi guys,
It's been a tough week here. Working at home and missing office banter. I'm part of a lively and nutty knitting group but they are younger than me or with less restrcitions in their lives so a lot of drinking & nights on the town and group trips and I feel left out. I was thinking of starting a pole dancing meeting group on meeting.org but am wondering if people would want to do that at people's houses/places of residence rather than a studio/class environment? I guess i would find that a bit sketchy myself.
I'd love to pole jam and socialise around that with other pole freaks, but i'm too broke for classes. The only things i find on meetup.com or groupspaces.com are for classes, so I'm thinking there must be a lot of home schooled people, who's like to talk about their challenges and fails.
I'm just trying to brain storm, because I don't even know if I have it in me to take on being an organiser. I might be sneaky and make someone else a cor-organiser and leave it to them if we had memebers.
What do you guys think? Would you join such a group? Do you wish there were a free meetup type group locally for pole dancers, even if there was no pole jamming? Do you use classes for that?
