I'm currently a college student with no job, thinking about commuting to another city to start stripping, since i live in West Virginia. I'm already starting to look into stripper poles and i've watched a ton of tutorials on here, youtube, blogs, etc. I also want to start changing my eating habits and get on a diet plan before i dance. I'm about 5'2, 127 pounds, and i'd like to do down to at least 110-115. I have a few questions I would loved to be answered?

Is pole dancing easy? How long does it usually take for the average person to master the art of pole dancing?

What's a good dietary plan that'll make my body look good and pretty healthy?

What type of personality do most strippers have?

I'd really love to get a boob job once i start and have the cash to do it, but is it necessary in this  profession?

What's an average good night for a stripper?

If anyone would please answer these questions for me, I will gladly appreciate it, I've always thought the art of pole dancing was so beautiful.

Hi Meow, you can also check the discussion forums here. I think the topic has come up before. You're sure to get a few answers there as well.

This thread is only about a week old.  There is a LOT of really good information in it.  Bottom line, you are not going to make money on the pole.

Thank you. I wouldn’t be one of those girls who would pretty much do anything for cash, I probably wouldn’t even drink just because I know guys will try and take advantage of you. I’d still attend school fulltime and commute to a nearby city (Charlotte nc most likely) maybe 2-3 weekends a month. I would save up for a new car since I wouldn’t trust my car to get there and I’dist likely borrow my moms until I got a dependable one. But I do have one question? Is beginner pole dancing easy? And I’m short, around 125 PDs and I may have a little love handle bulge, how does size play into exotic dancing? Thanks xo

that's an interesting conclusion to come to when there's so many variables involved (location, contact/no contact, if your look is in demand at that particular club, travel dancing, stage dancing/VIP). That's why I recommended Stripperweb, a buzzing forum with hundreds of strippers, for different viewpoints coming from girls who are actively working in the industry.

Athena30 is correct. Go to Stripperweb. All your answers are there and then some.

Hey bb, if you want some info, PM me. But basically you need to go check out the clubs you are interested in. They won’t tell you straight up what rent is, you do have to pay to work. So sometimes you may go home in the red. Average cash is 300-500 per shift. Certain girls can make way more.

It also depends on your area, the shift (day or night) and whether or not it's a weekend, the end of the month, the middle, the season. There's a lot of factors.

also; holy crap is stripperweb outdated! Half the clubs that I've worked in aren't even listed! And then all of the reviews are from like, years ago. I mean, atleast it's something but I normally use yelp because atleast it's recent 😛

I was referring to the actual forum where you can ask for girls opinions and experiences on different clubs, and a newbie section where girls like the OP start threads similar to this one. (I'm a poster there)

The ultimate strip club list???? That’s what we occasionally use when the studio & friends want to visit some clubs.
I’m not a stripper nor dancer nor performer nor talent. Luv and support anyone brave, talented, good work ethics (above titles are NOT excluded) that serves and delights me!

Billymarsh…this is the second post you have made that has nothing to do with the topic that is being discussed.

To quickly reply to some of your questions, meow:

Pole dancing isn't 'easy' per se but there is plenty a beginner can quickly learn and accomplish, if you look through Veena's beginner section you'll notice there is a lot of attainable material for someone with no fitness or dance background. Mastering the art of pole dance is dependant on your level of dedication and current fitness level but generally anywhere from 1-3 years with steady practice is how long it takes to accomplish some of the more advanced moves. This isn't necessary in the stripping business but it CAN make you money sometimes – just don't rely on it because more often than not, personal interaction and sexiness (confidence) will get you much further than athletics.

A general guideline for a good dietary plan is to eat as little 'processed food' (prepackaged, out of a box, fast food) and more veggies and fruit, less meat (but definitely get your protein). Everybody is different and dietary needs is a very complex topic but generally the more nutrients you're getting in their whole, natural form, the better.

Most strippers are just women like anyone else. A generality is dependant on your location, city girls vs rural, and the club environment you're working in has a lot to do with what you'll experience. But it's safe to say that all of the other strippers are there to make money, it's a job – don't go looking to make friends, just to work. Always lock up your valuables, watch your money and if the other dancers happen to be really nice and friendly then it's a plus.

A boob job is absolutely NOT a necessity in the profession. What is a necessity is confidence and the ability to talk to anyone with a smile. I've seen totally flat chested girls at my club do very well and the girls with fake boobs do well but there's nights where no one is making money; it's a crap shoot depending on customers. Every guy likes something different and it's really not a huge issue.

An average good night is highly dependant on your location, shift and club but anything less than a 100 bucks in a shift is absolutely terrible no matter where your are or what time it is.

I wouldn't worry about your height and weight too much, just your ability to happily talk to random people all night, feel good about yourself and get on with the job.

Definitely go to stripperweb too. There's so much information there, your head will spin from trying to take it all in. Good luck!

eh, stripperweb is outdated…go to exoticdancernet.com they are an offshoot of sw…some major sh*t hitting the fan happened several years ago on sw and there was a mass exodus of the veteran strippers and they created exoticdancernet.

If I remember correctly, you have to send exoticdancernet.com a picture of you at work to prove you are 'in the business' which might be problem for someone just in the contemplation stage. I know it was for me a few years ago, so I just browsed around stripperweb instead. Some advice just never goes stale.
