  • I think I pulled my hamstring

    I'm pretty flexible from cobra I can get my feet to my forehead so I thought I was okay. I was trying to do the twisted ballerina one night and it didnt hurt at the time but later that night, the day after and today my hamstring is still killing me, laying down it feels good to be straight and on my feet walking it feels good to have it bent so its not extended. Its my left leg is there anything I can do to make it better? I tried to foam roll it  last night very carefully then eased into a little more pressure but today its still killing me. Anybody have some good remedies?

    If the pain doesn't get better within one week you should go see a doctor. Also, if there is any swelling or bruising in the injured body part you should go see a doctor.

    That being said, be careful with the foam roller. Light massages are good but do not push into the tissue hard as this will interrupt the healing process.

    Also, do not stretch the muscle. Try to move it only through a painless range of motion. Once the muscle feels better you can start to slowly increase the range of motion.

    Heat is also good. Hope you feel better soon! 🙂
