Several of my guys are going to perform in a Halloween showcase and all are new to pole.  They've been asking about floorwork that looks masculine.  I've given them a few ideas (shoulder rolls, head/elbow/hand stands, spin ups) but m really at a loss for more.  I gave them all the "homework" of watching male performer on youtube but they really need a little more guidance than that.  Anyone have suggestions?  Thanks in advance for any leads or tips! 🙂

My main suggestions for the floor work are very strong and long lines with  hard poses inbetween floor transitions. It's nothing wrong with sensual and exotic movements in there routines. I do the peek a boo, booty pop, front splits (as best i can) , body rolls, and anything u can think of in performaces  and what i do  is make some moves look more technical than graceful.  All in all they just have to get comfortable enough with themselves to do whatever the performace calls for them to do.

I loovvee Edouard for "manly" floorwork:

you said beginner, but there's a lot of moves he does that you can simplify

1:17 – 1:20 might be possible for some students from reverse handstand. I tried it before attempting to "feel my legs" for straight edge prep.

2:28-2:30 definitely an adv move, but a plank variation is still very masculine

1:20-1:32   I know it's not floorwork persay, but it's still an amazing "guy move".

    I LOOVVVEE VLAD!

1:05 to 1:10 you could probably replace the pole with a partner, (striking a manly pose) super easy and impressive 😀

    1:26-1:30 pretty simple, gender neutral

Hope that helps  for inspiration. We need more male pole dancers :<
