    Is there such a thing?

I’ve always loved watching regular go go dancers when I used to go to the clubs. I’m talking about the ones that dance on platforms in night clubs (not stripping, all non nude) doing 30 minute shifts just dancing away to electronic music. But are there go go dancing jobs where some do pole tricks?

I’ve looked online for info and the only thing I can really find is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOtejf9fYNQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (they don’t start pole dancing until 1 minute into the video, male pole dancers at 4 minutes). This video might be a bit too sexy as to what I’m talking about.

I can’t really dance.. (at least I think I can after a few drinks lol), but I think it would be an awesome part time job to be a ‘pole go dancer’ and just pole dance to electronic music at night clubs. Of course I’d like to be up on something away from the crowed so I don’t kick anyone or have anyone touch me. I’m obsessed with trance, house and electro music. When I’m poling at home, it’s all I listen too. I don’t go to the clubs anymore and the only thing I miss about it was the music.

If anyone has done this kind of work or knows anything about it or if it even exists, I would like to know. I’m just curious. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I’ve seen such dancers in Vegas… but then again, that’s Vegas https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Here in LA at some of the clubs they’ll have special pole performer acts but generally not a bunch of "pole-go dancers" the way they would have a bunch of go go dancers.

My friend Val and I do "Pole Go-Go" on Friday and Saturday night downtown Phoenix, we do 20 minute sets (which is really difficult because it’s not just regular go-go) But it’s lots of fun and best of all…no stripping.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hiya my friend used to be a pole go go dancer in one of the big clubs in Ibiza. We are talking about 9 years ago though. She would be up on a raised stage in front of thousands. Iv seen some vids, some of the girls doing handsprings and jade spilts and other acrobatic pole moves! Looks amazing!
There also used to be a normal bar/club were I live that had a pole on the bar. They had girls dancing on it for half an hour at a time, again no stripping…. Although the funny thing is most of them were ex strippers.

I would loove to do this too! I love dancing and wish there was somewhere I could pole in clubs without having to be overtly sexual and take my clothes off https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I’d like to do proper pole not just gyrating!

I’ve also seen pics of people poling in Ibiza and that was about a year or 2 ago.

The only other thing I’ve heard that is similar to this is where a pole school have a thing going with a local club and the pole school provide the club with dancers (no stripping) but I saw a video of it and they didnt seem to be doing any tricks as the podium was too near the crowd…. soo it’s close but not close enough! May be an idea worth mentioning it to your pole teacher though (if you have one)?

P.s. If anyone knows of somewhere you can do this in the UK let me know! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I own a pole school in the Uk and have been toying with this idea for a while. I’m pretty sure a few nightclubs I know
Would be interested. Years back when I was a student at a pole school, our teacher regularly asked us if we wanted to pole go go dance. She had an arrangement with one of the big clubs in my home town were they had feature dance nights. A lot of the girls got to do it and got paid. They said it was a lot of fun, I never managed to do it though! Lol

I’m with amberpoledancer, my instructor does this for a few clubs in Johannesburg. Thinking is mainly go go dancing with some pole moves.

This type of thing is right up my alley. I love many types of electronica, I miss the music from my club hopping days too and I’ve been asked to gogo dance on a couple of occasions at events. I’ve been playing at the idea of marketing myself for just such a thing in the greater DC/Baltimore area so if anyone has any ideas or leads please let us know. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_DJ.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
