ok so up till now my xpole brass has had great grip and ive always talked about how much i love it, but for the last few practices its been slippery, its in the house and me and it are well warmed up.  could it be what im cleaning it with? at first i was using alcohol and water mixture to clean it, then i started using vinegar and water.  any suggestions?? what do you clean your brass with and how is your grip?  also i thought the more wear, the better grip becomes, seems like mine is doing the opposite! like there is a film on it….and its not my lotion i use oil free vaseline and corn huskers. thanks!

Do you have an iron though?? You don't need a clothes/fabric steamer and you really don't need a steam cleaner! others have used just an iron on steam. X pole had told me they were in the process of making a video explaining how to clean the brass pole. I don't think its up yet though.

Why don't you just email them Rixi? I am sure they wouldn't care to answer your question.  By the way I wouldn't be surprised if it is your skin/the weather. I have to change my skin care routine and warm up completely when it gets cold here, it is day and so am I  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_elephant.gif

I have a PS brass. I just wipe it down with a wet cloth. The only time my brass is slippery is after I’ve used it for about an hour and gotten it all sweaty. Just plain water on a microfiber cloth and dry it with another microfiber cloth and it’s good.

Dang. Brass needs to be grippy. That’s why we put up with it ripping our skin off 😉 The only other thing I can think to try is Dawn dish soap. That stuff will take the film off of anything. I know there was a thread on here once upon a long time ago or maybe a vid of someone cleaning a PS Brass. She used Brasso. I’ve never been able to find that product where I live and I think that was for shining it up and I personally like a little tarnish on my pole. Goes well with my sailor’s mouth. Good luck! Hope you find something that works.

I am rather disappointed on my 40mm brass XPole which is brushed brass! It is very tempermental! It can be nice and grippy for a while then it becomes slippery the only really good practice I get on it Iis if and when it is humid, my Titanium gold is much better grip all year round! I have tried just about everything to help, sometimes I just have to mix and match grip aids , sometimes cleaning with water helps other times not , same with vinegar, metho and steam mind you when it is grippy it’s fantastic. But overall the titanium is the best out of all of them for me!

This is a bummer to read, I have a PS 38 brass being delivered Tuesday.  @ Hotel Chick PS is a different type of brass than x?  Have you used and Xbrass?  I am glad you like your PS….I am rather excited.  Rixi, good luck with yours too!
