Sorry. I've heard a few people say that they've had to wait forever for their stuff, had rude replies when chasing up missing orders, and others saying the printing quality is really bad.

I am not sure where the one girl in Cleveland bought hers but the thing started ripping almost immediately at the seams. Also they do not velcro together properly. It looks like the pink one in this photo.

This is the one that she bought but it looks almost identical:

Hi there,
I have a studio and ordered 2 mats for myself and mats for 4 of my students in August 2012. Every time I inquired they made promises of delivery dates, etc. So out of 6 I paid for 4 actually came. They arrived in late December! So I am out almost $450 which I am trying to chase down but they are based out of the country and the person I was dealing with in the past just said she doesn't work there anymore and gave me someone else's email address. I paid via paypal so thought it was safe but when I tried to file a complaint Paypal said it was not covered because it was out of the US. I'd steer clear if I were you. You can go to Might grips website, or email Joel from Mighty Grip and let him know I sent you to him. They have pretty good deals.I know they have a larger selection. I have bought from YogaDirect in the past for crash mats but don't know if they still sell them. It's absurd that they should be so expensive and hard to aquire!!

I had MAJOR issues with my mats, they ripped, didn't fasten properly. I found a woman with a local upholstery business recover them for me. She was appalled at the material that was used on the yoga crash mats, and couldn't believe they would sell them using that quality…in HO, she said they are really proffitting! She found an amazing fabric that a scissor won't even puncture! I love it and they are very easy to clean! I am working with her now to design the "Perfect" crash mat!!!

I can't beleive there are so few choices for pole mats out there, too. I would love to get some more in our studio, but don't want those bleeping yoga direct mats. Litlbit–that is awesome!!

Well, I am certainly happy I never ordered from them…………especially after reading these reviews.
I am so sorry POLE SWFL that you are out money……….that really blows. I also learned something from your reply—-I had no idea paypal didn't back "out of America" purchases. I don't use paypal for much of anything as they pissed me off royally years ago when I was selling scrapbooking stuff on Ebay……..but I keep them around for the occasional thing. I have not ordered anything outside of North America yet, so that little tidbit is useful to know.
LilBit—OMG………they fell apart? How long did that take? Chemmie said someone she knew had the same problem…………
Ironically—-they are on my FB account as it was one of the ways they were communicating with me after I made my intital inquiry…….
https://www.facebook.com/yoga.p.mats
There hasn't been activity on their wall since the summer, but I was messaging with them in November the last time………..
Keep us posted on the progress of those specially designed mats LilBit….
I even went as far as to speak to my local Foam Shop, showed them pics, gave them dimensions…….they came back with almost $900 per mat. Yeah—not happening.
I am thinking—-those high density (thick ones) memory foam mattresses are relatively inexpensive. So–my thoughts—I am contemplating buying a king size……..and making my own. Then having my mother in law sew removable fabric covers for them. I would cover the foam in a poly plastic though. The covers will be machine washable but the foam wouldn't be………covering it in poly—would fix that "germ" and gunk problem.
When I looked at the size of the King last(been a bit) I figured I could loosely get 3 mats out it and that was doubling up on the foam so it would be 4 inches thick. They are $200 bucks here for a good quality
Fabric to cover it isn't that horrid. I am waiting on my Mother in laws input to see what will be durable and washable but at the same time—flexible and stretchy.
Her and I discussed making them a folding square……with a 4 ft mat (2 feet all the way around) we figured 3 mats out of a king. I would rather have them 6ft (3ft all the way around) so I think that took us down to 2 per mattress, but extra for half of a third. SO buying 2 King Size—should get me 5 mats. For $400(less when they are on sale) and whatever the fabric and zippers/velcro cost………….
If you want, I can keep everyone updated once we figure out exact supplies, totals etc…..
My goal — Make one. See if 4 inches of memory foam is enough to be safe with an impact. SO–I literally intend to place it under the pole and fall off landing flat on my back and see if I get winded. LOL— I know–Crazy……….But I will use myself as the tester way before I ever place it in my studio for my students to use. If 4 inches isn't enough……..I will up it to 5 or 6….
KT Coates posted those great numbers about required mat thickness related to pole falls from each height………I can't find it anywhere………..Has anyone still got it kicking around? or know where to find it? Chemmie? MaryEllen? lol—I know.(I am always ask you guys)..but you two are usually the fastest finders of things!!
Worst case- I can send her a message on FB, but I know she must be crazy busy right now with all the industry meeting stuff…………

I like mine. I got it on amazon, it only started ripping wheny brother used it, but no big deal. I got their heavy duty covers for it now

Litbit, get your mat marketed! I bet you will sell a ton. As for the Pink Yoga Direct mat, I have to agree with AerialGypsy and say I love mine as well. For as much use and abuse I have put that through. My 13 year old son and his friend even used it one day for sledding down my stairs. BUT, yes the seams are letting loose a little and the velcro doesn't stick that good, it is still very cushy and makes me feel very safe.

What the heck is that material that they are using on the kids playground? I missed a step playing with my daughter and automatically begin to think how can i get to the park after hours without being seen…lol maybe you should contact the makers of that and shoot them an idea…could make you a millionar

I made my own mats too! Here’s how:

Bethany F, how do you deal with the cold in the garage. I’m in England now and it’s fine when in the house, but my studio doesn’t leave the heat on and I am in the first class of the day. By the time I’m warm and he pole is kinda warm class is over.

Bethany, I tried to leave you a comment, on your blog, but it didn't like my yahoo email address. :/
