I usually use an enzyme cleaner called Nature's Miracle for dog pee, or bleach, but I'm scared to use either of those on the pole, and I know I'm not even supposed to use water…..any advice?? Please??

Well, I took the whole bottom apart and cleaned it with alcohol and q-tips. I did use an enzyme cleaner on the base and then used a blow dryer to make sure it was completely dry. It took me an hour and a hlf so I hope it's going to be OK! Damn dogs….

What type of material is your x-pole? You could use diluted rubbing alcohol, I believe. It would seem like that’d work.

It's chrome – I did end up using rubbing alcohol. It's just that the x-pole base has SO MANY little crevices It was really hard to clean without flushing the whole thing with cleaner. This experience has given me a new appreciation for my old lil mynx pole! Would have taken me 5 minutes to clean that.

My dog loves peeing in the pole room, I'll have to watch out for that! The rubbing alcohol should kill 99% of the microbes, although with pee it's more of a smell issue isn't it. I'm guessing he's banned from the area 🙂 lol

Hope both your pole and your foster-dog are OK 😉

My Mum fostered a dog recently – a (pregnant – rescued from a puppy farm) dog, which she cared for for 5 months, as well as caring for the puppy for a couple of months.
