WHAT POLE (and shoes) TO BUY??!! HELP!!
Hi guys—
I'm new to this site and pole dancing and was hoping you ladies could give me some advice on what pole to get. I have done a lot of creeping so far and have narrowed it down to an Xpole or a PS (I've tried twice to get in touch with Pussycat Poles to see if they will ship to the US but no response yet). This will be used for fitness and personal use so I am not concerned about ever competeing, etc. Money is not a big restriction but I would like to not spend more than I have, get a quality product, and not buy something which will need to be replaced soon.
POLE:
I know I do not want a SS pole and it has to be removable, and I would like to get a 45mm. My bff had a TG XPole which I tried a few times. My upper body strength is not the best and I slipped very easily on the TG. I've also read about the rubbing and don't want to invest this kind of money into something that is going to fade away and become unusable but don't know how true that is. The reason she no longer has the XPole is because a friend was trying to climb up the pole and the threads just completely stripped after less than 6 months of use–which is what is making me weary of purchasing an XPole–how good is the quality of thier poles? She reccommended I try a brass pole and after reading reviews it seems like it would be best for me, but I don't really know. The problem is I know XPole's brass poles are just coatings and I don't want to spend that $ on something that isn't authentic if I can help it. I haven't heard much about PS, except about their free-standing or permanent poles. HELP!!!
Should I go with a solid brass removable PS pole?
What is the quality of PS removable to XPole removable poles?
What is the difference between the one piece and multi piece PS removable poles (besides the obvious) ?
Is the XPole brass really that bad/does it come off really easily?
Is it grippy like it should be?
Does the XPole TG rub off easily as well?
I've also been kicking around the idea of a Chrome XPole if XPole is a superior brand to PS but the brass and TG are no good (I'm just worried about slipping to the point where I won't be able to use my pole and have heard that once you open an XPole you void the warrenty).
Does anyone know the weight limits on these poles? I fluctuate between 180-190 lbs. I live in a very rural area and do not have the opportunity to go test one of these out at a local studio or club ):
SHOES:
I would like both a pair of sandals and a pair of boots. The sandals I am not worried about but the boots…I was hoping for some knee highs but I can only find stretch patent knee highs (ones with that sticthing at the top) or ones which lace up. Will either of these work? I am worried about scratching up my pole with the eyelets on the boots and am concerned the boot tops may slide or not be sticky enough to help with grip? Do I need to get the thigh high Pretty Woman boots with wide stiff thigh tops? Do boots scuff more easily than the sandals? I love love white and red patent boots but am worried if scuffing and dinging is a problem that a white or red pair will need to be replaced much sooner.
Sorry for all the questions! I am very excited and can't wait to start! THANKS GIRLS!
