  • Xpert squeaks wen in spin, is this a bad sign?

    When my xpert is in spin it squeaks/creaks when I’m on it. It still duz it on static bt nowhere near as bad as on spin. Is this a good or bad sign. xx

    You probably have it too tight.

    Av loosened it quite abit and it still speaks 🙁 it was fine til I took it down and thn re-assembled. cud it be Anythin else. x

    Mine squeaks in static. I think it’s kind of normal. It seems like many people have issues with this.

    It only squeaks wen am doin movers clockwise cud I hae over tightened the x-joints?? x

    No, tight xjoints will not cause that.  I would suspect that either one of your bearings has gone bad or they need lubricated.  Ther are bearings in both the top and bottom of the pole.  Where specifically is the squeaking coming from?

    I cannot remember for sure if the bearings on the X are totally enclosed or partially.

    The inner ring should rotate freely with just your finger.  I had an issue with my bottom bearing when I got my pole….it was actually impinged when they set it into the bottom of the A pole and they sent me a whole new threaded section.  A small drop of light machine oil in the grooves may be all you need.  Typically if you have a sewing machine or electric razor you get a tube of machine oil.
