Used Veenas method and steamed my pole (but I used my clothes iron).  It was tricky figuring out how to get the steam on the pole, but once I did, it helped a lot!  The pole isn't perfect yet, but I can at least use it now!  Thanks to Veena for the trick!!!

I would do it again! Maybe since it has never been done, 2 times will make it perfect!!

I really want to try this but I'm also afraid to…. last time I tried something new (whichever vinegar some ladies here suggested) my pole SEEMED to have become slicker than ever…. and I haven't had a GOOD STICK ever since (even though it's been a long time since I used it). So yea, I'm just about desperate enough to try something new but I also don't want it to get worse…

I'm thinking there's no way it COULD get worse though….

There is no way steam will mke it worse. It will remove the vinegar residue. LOL! I have used and love blue Dawn  dish soap. I was doing dishes and read dissolves grease on it and suddsed up my pole, rinsed it off, and it worked like a charm as well.

I usually use kitchen cleaner. I thought if it’s getting the stove off of grease, it would work for the pole as well. And it does!
