    Hey all,

Just thought that I would share this for anyone interested! I made a pole game for my girls that we are going to play tonight.  You roll dice to determine moves to combo!  I think it will be a lot of fun and I am excited about it.  It has a little bit of something for every level and can be played by yourself or with unlimited amounts of people.  This one focuses on Spins and next month we are going to do one that focuses on combos of climbs/sits/releases and that sort of jazz.  I will be doing a video showing each of these moves and some demo combinations.  I also got permission to film tonight so there will probably be a very silly video of me and my girls trying to figure some of these out!!!  Let me know if you have any questions and hopefull you guys like this as well  🙂

    Happy Poling!

A side note since I forgot to add it to the details.  We have a different colored dice for each one so 1-6 is easy to identify.  This can be remedied by rolling the dice one at a time if you don't have different colors!

I like that idea! I haven't worked on basic moves for months … https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I don't know all of the moves listed, so I'm looking forward to your video 🙂

I might actually try this! I definitely find that I get into the routine of my own combos (or no combos at all!).

However, some of the names on here are ones I've not heard before… The "sword" for example, or the fairy step.

Perhaps you could provide some translations?

I will get a video up in the next few days with the moves.  I need to get a new app to edit my clips because my current one is terrible.  I am currently shopping around for a nice one sicne I need to get back to make my tutorials as well and I want them to be good quality.

I didn't get to film last night unfortunately because my boyfriend needed my ipad to do homework 🙁  But it was loads of fun.  Feel free to switch some of the moves up or add your own!  We definitely decided that the tuck spin and the sword were definitely the most difficult to combo.  Sometimes they worked most times they didn't.  A lot of it is luck of the draw with what moves you roll.  I might take those two out and add in like another chair and carousel so you have a greater chance of rolling those as they are good to combo in and out of.

As far as getting to the site I am not sure why you wouldn't be able to…. did you paste the link into your browser??  I'll try to link it on the post, let's see if it works:

That is really clever and original, thanks for sharing! This just might be what I need to pick me up out of my pole rut!

    It's a great idea!

Our Floorwork instructor had us each pick two numbers between 1 and 100 — she has a list of 100 floorwork moves!!! — and use those to develop our routine.

descalzada, that sounds like a "Golden List" to me! If there is anyway you could copy and share said list, that would probably make a lot of polers out there pretty giddy (me included)! I know so many of us struggle with floorwork ideas and creativity…although, I understand if your teacher wants to keep her trade secrets too, but I sure hope she's willing to share!
