    Hey,

I bought some pleasers (ADORE 708G Clr/Slv Gltr) and my sister bought the same pair (different seller) before Christmas. Within 5 uses the buckle on the right shoe completely came off! When my sister checked hers the right buckle was on its way off too. We thought that maybe it was a bad batch or something and I managed to return for a replacement. I received myreplacement during the Christmas break and they have been worn 3 times and I’ve been very careful not to pull the buckle too tight and harshly etc. I looked again today and one of the buckles is coming off again! I’ve been extremely careful with this pair.

Has anyone else has a problem with broken buckles? I’m not going to return again (too much hassle and postage costs) but would you suggest sewing the buckle back on or anything else that I could do?

Also, my sister has emailed the seller of hers several times but to no avail, so if anyone knows how to contact the people at heelerdealers let me know!

    Xxx

The buckle has broken on my Ellie shoes as well. The little pin that fastens the strap has become detached and it just “floats.” I noticed for both Pleaser and Ellie that there are different price levels of shoes – most of us are probably getting the $30-$40 shoes instead of the $200 shoes. There must be a pretty serious difference in quality between the levels.

If you’re handy with sewing, you may be able to fix it. I haven’t bothered to try fixing mine yet. I just walk carefully in them, and ordered another pair. Someone recently posted a video tutorial on how to convert broken ankle strap shoes into wrap shoes with a length of ribbon, maybe you can try that!

The shoes at our Pole studio are supplied for students to borrow and break all the time.  Just take them to a shoe guy and they can fix them.  If you can find out where most Dancers take theirs, you will find someone who always has stripper shoes on the shelf and is use to fixing them.  We pay about $3.00 to $4.00 to have the buckles fixed and straps re-glued to the sole.  Just shoe maintnence,

    whish they were made better.

My ellies hae never had an issue and are 10 months old.

My pleasers, on the other hand.

    First pair lasted 6months
Second pair (bought at the end of november) lasted 3 weeks before seperation between the sole an the shoe.

My co-workers shoes? ONE WEAR BEFORE SEPERATION. Pleaser’s quality has gone down considerably over the years from what I hear from well seasoned dancers. If your $40 last that long, I’m not going to want to try the $200 pair. My next pair will be Anthony’s.
