Favorite performances well adapted to music?
Posted by Lina Spiralyne on January 20, 2013 at 10:59 amWhich pole dancers to you think make choreagraphies which go really well with the chosen music? I think for example that Laurence Hilsum has had success with this and also Oona Kivelä.
Very interested to hear who are your favourites and if you could link to performances it would be great! I'm not after a specific dance style.
Thanks:)

Michelle Stanek and Oona Kivela absolutely.
Both have impeccable timing and really have a way with interpreting music.Personal fav videos of theirs are:
Michelle's 2012 USPDC performance…. http://youtu.be/VrUsrKq4AZI
and Oona's PoleArt 2010 performance….http://youtu.be/4Jx1S7dNQ9c

Agree 100% with Oona Kivela, hers always flow amazingly. This is my personal favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4ack-LXO2c

Amber Richard (Fleur on here) is one of my all-time favorites and of course almost anything that comes from the Girl Next Door productions choreograph well to go with the music.
Here are two of my favorites of Amber:

and unfortunately I think this one you can only see if you are friends with her on Facebook?

I really like Natasha Wang. She's not afraid to show the audience something new. In her 2012 Pole Art performance she flexed her feet like a champ, and it was awesome 🙂
Michula Nunez is another favorite.

Flying Laura is always showing some new transitions or things I personally hadn't thought of (Uh…superman to allegra? Yeah, I guess you could do that.)
Grazzy Brugner's flow and fearless ability to show you what she wants to show you through dance.
And, of course, gotta love me some Russian dancers:

My Russian isn't super spectacular, but I think his name is Lakee Maksim? According to google translate, it's Lackseyes Maxim. That's not how it's spelt to me, but my understanding of Russian grammar is pretty much zero (except ogo –> ova.)
I'm not sure if Evgheni is Russian, or just slavic. But I also like his themed dancing 🙂

I'm currently totally fascinated by this dancer's flow:

I love this performance:
Marlo Fisken – You lost me – Christina Aguilera

Many of the performers that have a dance background or work with the Choreography House have spectacular performances. I still love love love Felix's 2008 Miss Australia performance. I am not sure anything will ever compare in my book to that. It still gives me chills when I watch it.
(I cannot seem to find a good copy of it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GGik2Pnt-E
I also adore Jenyne. She has the ability to be any woman, from sexy to girl next door, and while she has signature moves I have never really seen her have one strict style.
Cute Jenyne: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTMjzv22FuQ
Sexy Jenyne: (note, she does not do a single pole move until over 3 minutes into the performance): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lhhc8iTDxw8
Valerie from Studio 409 never ceases to amuse me with her routines.
There are a few chinese performers that I can watch over and over again.
And while I can appreciate the performances that tell a story, I still prefer the raw. I love love love this performance. It comes with a warning on riduculous sexiness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb0f1SpCt8g

My favorite of all time is Oona. She flows and is so strong. I like Laurence Hilsums style a lot too. But I’m gonna check out all the links people posted that I haven’t seen yet. 🙂
