Hey all, I am a pretty skinny person with very little muscle on my arms and shoulders. Is there any way other than push ups to develop these muscles? I want to do more moves but my arms have been limiting my progression,

But I have gotten splits down in 4 days! From not even being remotely close to opening my legs halfway to being full on the ground. Flexibility is my strength but strength is not.

    Help! 🙂

I didn't have much arm or shoulder strength when I started 7 months ago, but something that really helped me was doing pole holds like in Veena's Strength Routine. Actually, that whole routine has some good strengthening moves. Knee tucks are good for both arms and core (standing like you're going to invert and then just pulling your knees up to your chest). Shoulder presses are also great. You can do them with your legs on a chair or on the pole.

Thanks frenchhorndiva! I will try those, in fact I have been contemplating subscribing to veenas for a long time!

I was watching the womens tennis competition that was on TV a few days ago but was so shocked at how bulky their arms were and wondered how they did it! Perhaps I need to take up tennis too haha

    Thanks for the advice!

I have lots of conditioning and strengthening exercises for the arms and shoulders! Its one of the focus's of the lessons! Not only that, all lessons are in order so there is no guessing as to what moves are appropriate for a beginner and so on. Also I now have a new program included in the lessons, Its the 30 day take off. Here is a little video explanation of it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

How fascinating! Thanks so much for the info! I'm really excited to start this program 🙂 I'll start in a few days time once my muscles start feeling better :D:D:D
