I'm sure this might have been asked before,,,but I really don't want to sort through thousands of posts, BUT I'm lookig to get a stage pole and I was wondering which would be a better, stable, quiet, strong one to go with, I have done lots of research but I'm still undecided, I was going to go with X-pole X stage lite, but I hear it's a noisy stage, Any feedback would be welcome, I'm around 202 lbs and sometimes get as much as 208 so I want somthing stable and strong, HELP

I watched that video along with tons of others, I do have to say I don't like the xstage pole not being secure to the base but it seems quieter, all of them seem uber expensive, I wish they had a payment plan, I have like Half the funds so far

The x stae does thunk a bit when you use it, and it has a metal base so heels will clack on it. The SSA is much quieter, but it is more prone to walking for taller and heavier girls. The X stage is pretty damn secure. I have one and I like it.

What do you mean by not being secure to the base?

    ……Round 1….FIGHT! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

Different people = Different experiences = Different views.

So lets put the gloves down for a change and NOT turn this into another battle royal on who's better. Not everything needs to be challenged Chem. AerialG gave her opinion/view/experience like she was asked, nothing more, nothing less.

And to the OP, i have had the same debate for myself and i feel the Xpole stage one just looks like its more "put together". I guess i like the thought of the bottom bars for extra security and that things are more "locked" into place rather then set. Its heavier and more work to put together but i would feel just a little more secure. That's MY thoughts on it though from watching such videos. I do not own one or the other. Good luck on the decision!

Little Engine – I do believe this has been quite a civil conversation.

Webmaster, I would hope it stays that way. That's all i'm saying.
Its not an unknown fact that these kinds of post start bitter debates and even more so Chem is what I call a "instigator" or better yet a "shit starter" who sickingly enjoys making people debate even when there is nothing to debate. Hense why i rarely post on here anymore. She gets to be her usual passive-aggressive bully self and you come to her rescue. Not suprised. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

But anyway, i gave my thoughts as the OP asked. Please carry on. I hope to hear more views on the

LittleEngine/empty Your responses were uncalled for.

I am guessing Chem was asking Sunshine to clarify the base comment. I had the same question when I saw it. I think She meant to say she didn't like how the Star base lifts out but does like that it seems quite. No one was starting anything……

LittleEngine – The last few threads on these topics have been very civil.  Your post was the first one to be over-dramatic and seemed to insinuate that things were escalating.

You'll notice that Chemgoddess's post was simply asking for clarification, not forming any kind of challenge.

Chemgoddess is one of the old-school Veeners.  She has been instrumental in keeping the debates here civil.  She posts facts and maintains a level head.  She stays away from anecdotal evedence favoring the empyrical and factual.  If you see her as an instigator it is because you don't like your opinions challenged.

Additionally I was not coming to Chem's rescue I was asking you to drop the confrontational attitude.

Wow…sit through a budget meeting and come back to this.  Thank you both V and Web for understanding my question and not thinking I was trying to start a fight here.  Empty, I would ask that if you have an issue with me please take it up with me directly.

I was indeed asking what Mama meant by the X Stage pole not being secure in the base.

wow folks,,,,I did not mean for this to become a nasty debate or anything like that, I'm new to the pole world as I only started in the Spring of 2012 but did not get really into it till Oct 2012. As I stated I'm a big gal and very out of shape and have a balance disorder so I need to feel secure, My beams here have held pretty good with my X-pert pole,,but I'm very limited on where I can be in my house and even tho I check my pole often it has come loose on me due to the beam shifing, SO this is why I had asked the question of others experience and opinions, and yes my issue was the pole does not lock in on the X stage where the pole locks in on the X pole lite, but I hate the thought of the sound of metal clanging ,,,,I'm leaning towards it tho only because of Veena's side by side video, Just wish there was one on the X stage standard too, Thanks everyone who commented, HUGS and POLE ON,

I am confused by this statement because the pole locks into the original X Stage and into the Lite in the exact same way.  There is a locking hex screw.

I am 5'8" and weigh anywhere from 155-165 depending on the season.  The biggest issues that I have with the SSA:

    1. I do not like stainless

    2. The usable pole is much shorter unless I get an extension.  I cannot invert on one without my feet passing the top of the pole.

    3. The walking issue.  Now, do not get me wrong, I have lifted an xtage but with that it comes thumping back down and stops (noisily I might add). With the SSA it continues to lift with my rotations thus causing a spinning penny effect.  I will add here that I have NOT been on the new redesigned SSA, but to my knowledge they did not change anything but the locking design.

As for the other banter, ignore it.

The xstage and xstage lite are functionally the same pole with the only exception being the stage height.
