Sadly, I can't get the clearance I need for a pole in my house, so I'm thinking about buying an X pole Stage Lite for outdoor use. Does anyone know how the chrome finish would hold up if it was permanently outdoors? My patio is not covered. I'm also concerned about the grippiness during Texas summers. Has anyone else tried this?

    Thanks!

I would never leave it outside permanently.  It is chrome over steel and the inside of the pole will rust and cause issues.  Pretty sure the bearings are not sealed either and will degrade if rained on continually.

Once you get used to it set up really only takes about 20 minutes.  When you are talking about a $800 investment I would spend the time.

I have a x stage which I use outside. I would leave the stage bit set up and put a waterproof patio furniture cover over it but always brought the pole inside. Once summer ended I brought it all inside and plan to put it up again once the weather improves. I agree with Chem that leaving the pole outside all the time wouldn’t be the best idea x

We take our xstage outside for events, promo, etc. I wouldn’t leave it for long periods for sure. Ours does have some wear and tear, base chips, etc. This is over two years on and off outings, use, etc. Even covered I would not leave it out for days at a time. You will get good at break down and set up like they said 😉
