    Hello Shanz15,

I am doing the 30 day lessons and Studioveena has great lessons for builiding strength. I am very new also as I just started poling on December 29 but I have found that her lessons are great. The pole holds, pole squats and many others. The lessons are in order of difficulty and they really work. It is so worth the money.

I’m new to this also and am trying to work on building my upper body strength. Advice iv been given is Pole holds but considering you haven’t got a pole at home maybe start with push ups start with 10 then build yourself up, also a pull up bar might help after you start to build up the push ups!! Hope that helped 🙂

Also you can do planks without the pole because they help a lot too. You must also have strong abs so work on your abs.

Pull ups (using pull up bar), push ups, plank holds and light weight training for arm strength and sit ups, rowing crunches, bicycle sit ups and other core exercises for your abs. Pilates and yoga are also good for building core strength and stamina.

Calipolepixie had some great suggestions. If you're interested most of the strength building and all of the conditioning exercises can be done without a pole all you need is a wall or doorway! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
