How tall are you? Do you have small hands? What level are you at in poling? Do you have any nickle or other metal allergies? Where do you live? Is it dry or humid climate? These are all things to consider when picking a pole. However, Titanium gold seems to be the overall preferred choice right now for dry or humid climates & 45mm is a good diameter. I have a chrome 50mm & haven’t been happy with it the 3 yrs i’ve had it. I have a love/hate relationship with my chrome pole (mostly hate lol). I plan on buying a TG 45mm ASAP.

I am 5’3″ and have tiny hands. I have never been on a pole in my life! I have been doing research and I would like to start on a pretty standard pole. I know a 40mm would be good for my small hands but I would like to try a 45mm as I intend to do legs moves as well. I have also read brass has to most grip so I think titanium would be best. Not real sure about the climate part. I live in Minnesota where it’s negative 10 in the winter and 90 in the summer!

I’d say get a titanium gold 40 or 45 mm since you’re petite & have small hands

After much research I just ordered a 45mm titianiam gold xpert x-pole. Aerial Gypsy wrote a really good article on the different sizes and finishes(she really did her homework). The only way I can get to the article is to click on blogs, and go back to Jan.30th. I think you will find her research very helpful in determining what pole would be best for you.
