Does anyone have any idea of calories burned during a 30min or 1hr pole session. I’m starting up ‘my fitness pal’ for a bit and funnily enough, pole fitness isn’t listed!

I use WebMD to track my calories and how much I've burned. Unfortunately these things are never 100% accurate. The only way to really know is it like have some sort of internal monitor and I don't think thats possible. Ballpark would be between 250 to 350 per half hour. But really depends on how hard you're working. WebMD does have a selection for pole dancing! One for moderate effort and vigorous effort. Not entirely sure what the difference is other than moderate effort supposedly burns 250 per half hour, and vigorous effort is 350.

I've been going with moderate means pole dancing without actually doing any climbs or holds.

I always wear a HRM and I burn between 205-300 calories every 1 hour session.  Hope this helps.  ðŸ˜‰

I use MFP now and again and i put pole down as gymnastics which is under the cardio section, i thought it would come under strength. But anyway for an hour gymnastics 250 calories are burnt.

I use that app too! I just put my aerial classes and pole time under gymnastics general, it seems to be close 🙂
