It's come to my attention that there is a misunderstanding about I4PD that I'd like to clear up.

Insurance 4 Pole Dancers (of which my husband is part of the administrative team) is not an insurance company. They do not "underwrite" the policies.

Mark Culp, my husband's partner, is an insurance agent. He is not a broker and does not even work for the insurance company whom the broker sells for.  He also sells general liability for all businesses, auto insurance, life/health insurance, etc.

As an agent, just like all his other policies, he searches for the best deal for his customer when they come to him for a policy. At this time there is only one company he can go to for insurance plans for instructor liability.

To my knowledge, right now there is only one company which covers pole dance instruction and a few that cover events. A few insurance companies still in existance are not taking on any new policies for pole dance instructors and are phasing out of this type of coverage.

I forgot to add…there are a few other agents who sell this same policy so if you don't buy througth I4PD that doesn't mean you are not insured….just that it is likely through the same company because no one else right now wants to insure pole dance instruction and not many want to insure events.
