i started with a 50mm xpole chrome and ended up sellin it and buyin a 45mm xpole chrome as i have smallish hands so the 50mm was 2 big and i struggled with moves and grippin on it. i wouldnt change my x-pole for anythin its great, never had any problems with it either. x

I also started with a 50mm X pole and bought a 45mm X pole after a year and find it much better for grip etc. as my hands are quite small. Arielgypsy has done a great article on size of pole and materials. 🙂

I have had a 50 mm chrome for last 3 years and really have difficulty with grip and alot of sliding issues. Plan on getting a 45 mm TG in the next couple of months FINALLY!
My advice would be to buy a 45 mm now.

You should get one that you can put in spin mode. It’s only a little more money but if you find out that you love spinning and only have a stationary pole you have to buy a new one.

Hi there, I bought what I was using at my studio as that is what I was used to. I am in Australia and I think many studios here tend to use smaller poles, we use a 38mm at my studio. So I have 40mm brass spinning and static X pole, Xpert.
I love it so much. I love the brass because of the grip factor. It is really warm here in Australia so the brass helps and it is what I am used to. I have heard chrome is super slippery.
I would suggest getting a 40 or 45. 50MM seems really hard to grip and 40 is amazing for gripping but I have heard can be a lot harder when it comes to the leg grips so 45 is a good middle of the road choice and definitely get one you can put on spin mode so you can have the option. I learnt on a spinny pole and have not done much static work but I have the option to put it on static.
