Need Help with X pole purchase
Posted by brookebat on March 11, 2013 at 12:28 pmI found an Xpert xpole with extension on Craigslist for a good price but want to make sure it’s the real deal. She says it’s a 45mm Xpert but that it’s the original xpole (top loading). I thought all the 45’s were bottom loaders. Also there is a picture of a xsport on the ad. Which adds to the confusion. Here’s the ad. What do you think?

That doesn't look like a sport to me, and I wouldn't pay that for an older used top loading pole. I just sold my 50mm xpert, new model, with an extra height extension, not too long ago for 220. JMO 🙂 Good luck!

If it was bought from XPole last year it would not be top loading. The pic of the pole + Xjoints also is not top loading. Lastly, there is no way she paid $500; brand new 45 is $330 and there is no way she paid $170 in shipping.

This thread tells ou things to look for to see if it is genuine: https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/91
Also, old top loaderrs that screw together are selling for about $150.

Yeah, the stock photo of the set IS a sport, but its not a picture she took of that pole, she got it online. Still wouldn't pay that for it, as Chemmy mentioned above, there is no way she paid that much for it, and you can find a better deal elsewhere. I mean a NEW sport is only 250. The xperts are more expensive, but don't pay this amount for that pole.

it look like the fake ones that r goin around ebay, cant remember the name of it but doesnt look like an xpole and as chem sed if it was bought last year it wouldnt b top loadin, sure they have had bottom loading since 2011, myt b wrong but bottom loadin been out since roughly thn. ask for a pic of teh dome and serial number and then call xpole and ask thm 2 confirm if its a real xpole. looks similar 2 this pole which is a fake look alike xpole -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ORIGINAL-DANCE-POLE-DANCING-POLE-FREE-DVD-/130655851363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e6bb21363

I figured to paid amount was bumped up to make it look like a good deal. My confusion came in when I noticed the stock photo was a sport but she says the pole is an xpert. If it is a 45 sport that would explain the price which is a sport plus the 300 mm extension. If it is an 45 xpert then how in the blazes is it top loading? Did she put it up wrong? 🙂
Thank you to both of you for your replies. I was going to offer a lower price for it (220-240) if I could confirm that it was a real 45 xpert. Used 45’s are not easy to come by in my area as most girls are selling their 50’s for 45’s. -
Thanks pole gal. I went through the older threads trying to find out that date too. I know the bottom loaders have been out for a while and I’m pretty sure that 45’s were not popular until after the bottom loaders started selling However, I wanted to confirm my suspicions with people here.

Do yourself a favor & take a couple more weeks to save a lil money & buy from xpole directly or veena.

your welcome hun, as i sed ask her for a pic of the top of the dome (bit tht sits on ceiling) and ask if u can get the serial number, and if she wont give u it or says she cant find it, then its probably a fake and she doesnt want u 2 know its a fake. good luck and hope u get a pole soon huni. x

Still, a 300mm extension on top of the 2 that already come with the pole is only $20.
-
Chem- To clarify that would explain why she is asking for $260. The xsport plus extension=$260. Not why she claims it cost her $500. Sorry for the confusion should have stated that more clearly.

But still, if this is a top loading then this pole is either a fake or at least 3 years old. The announcement for the new style was made at the beginning of December 2009 and they stopped selling the old style around Christmas of that year. So she is lying either about the age or that is is a real X Pole.
-
Ask to see the pole in person. The dome should be ENTIRELY METAL, with a CLEAR silicone ring (same with the base.) The base should have 2 x's on it. The dome should have a serial number sticker on it.
-
the fact that she Bought it a year ago is impossible. X pole does not sell those poles anymore. They stopped selling them YEARS ago. I think this is possible a fake. The dome looks corved to me, which is a red flag.
