If you enjoy poling, and can afford a stage pole….why not? I would get one, but don’t have any room in my house and I am sure the condo association wouldn’t appreciate one out in my yard. 🙂

a lot of people get their stage poles from craigslist. Studios that close sell their poles here or Craigslist. I bought my chrome x-pole via craigslist for $200 and I was able to inspect it and play on it to make sure it was legit (as opposed to buying used here or eBay). If you have a smart phone the craigslist app will update you whenever someone posts something new in your area.

It's worth it to save up so you can buy a good pole that will last your several years. Trust me, I brought 2 crappy "novelty" poles (carmen electra & peekaboo) when I started out because I was in a rush to just have a pole at home. I just ended up throwing away over $300 by buying those 2 poles when I should have just saved up another $100 and brought an xpole right off the bat!
After almost a year using the carmen and then peekaboo poles, I finally got my xpole xpert by using a few hundred from my tax return $. BEST purchase I have ever made. I've had my xpole for almost 3 years. It's in great condition but I've never been thrilled with the chrome finish, so I will probably upgrade to a TG 45mm this summer.
The stages are a bit more pricey you are right about that. I would love one when I get a house but it's hard for me to spend anything more than $450 on hobby related items, it's like my cap off price lol. Can you just get a regular pole? Is there no where a regular pole will work in your home?

I have the Lil Mynx in my house and really like it! I just want one that I can put in my garage where I have lots more room. The PS star stand alone (new one) looks really good and I would not have to drill into the cement floor as I would a permanent one. I cant use the portable in there, ceilings way too high.
