My trainer at the bootcamp fitness place where I work out for group classes, as well as privates, is going to be getting an older model of Platinum Stage 50mm pole.  I found out about one for sale for great price and told him about it.  He has been wanting to get a pole of some kind to be able to learn strength stuff himself and others, but especially to work with me to build strength and tailor my privates for pole workouts.

My one bummer thing is this pole is a 50mm.  I started out on a 50mm for few years, and now have a 45mm titan gold and 45mm chrome; and use a 45mm at pole studio I attend.  If I have to I'll practice on 50mm for little bit, then switch to 45mm when I can.  This Platinum Stage pole is a 50mm.  Will it be difficult for me to workout and practice on with hand grip tricks?  I don't want to be frustrated practicing on it and not accomplish anything as he trains me.  And other people who go there know I pole and will be wanting to watch me and show them some stuff, what little I do.

Anyone else go back and forth from different size poles?  Should I not worry about it?  I feel like I'm putting self-defeat on myself already.

I was going back and forth between sizes for about 9 months. It wasn't that big of a problem. I would do some spins in my warm up and my hands would get used to the right grip. That ebing said, I came to prefer the 45 and felt I could do more on it.
