There are quite a few here. What are your specific questions? If you are wondering, it cannot go to 14 feet in your garage. It would have to be permanently mounted to get that height and then I would also request their competition pole which is reinforced. Aerial Amy has had tall ones in NY bend/warp in the middle and actually come down on her.

Mostly wondering about stability, silpping from ceiling as opposed to xpole. I know about the need to find joists etc.

I think 14 ft is about the max you'd wanna put an xpole out to when using extensions and such, at least thats what I've read. Did you ever call x pole when they said they had a possible solution for your dance space? What did they propose?

I will be okay with just having a pole downstairs..ceillings are about 9 and a half feet, thats better than my bedroom! I will let u know what they say.

One day I want to visit your house! It sounds grand, and you know I only work a few minutes away from Brandermill 😉

I have that pole and I like it. Definitely talk to them about height restrictions. If you have an average ceiling height, it is a great pole. So easy to put up. I did an entry about the different poles not too long ago.
