Pole Cleaners
Posted by Autumn Sky on April 9, 2013 at 4:02 pmI was wondering what people use to clean their poles. I have a Titanium Gold pole. X-pole manual says to use Windex, but it is not doing the job. Any suggestions?

Steam Cleaning is a great way to remove residue that can build up over time. Here is an adorable video that Veena made on steam cleaning your pole.

For every day cleaning, I just use Isoprophyl (Rubbing) Alcohol, as I believe most do.

I have a TG pole too. I find a mixture of Windex and rubbing alcohol works best. I don't mean actually mixing them together… just switching off. If one doesn't work, the other usually does. Sometimes I need both.
You might also try using cheap glass cleaner instead of name brand Windex, like from the dollar store. The expensive stuff has additional ingredients to make your glass shiny. They may be also slippery. 🙂

I use alcohol to clean my TG during practice and STEAM to really get the pole clean and grippy!

Same way. Steam when you first get the pole an to deep clean then alcohol or windex for daily use cleaning.

If your iron puts out alot of steam it seems to be viable.

I actually used my electric kettle to steam clean my pole haha, just have to angle it and be safe as with any steam. It did the trick. I have heard that some use vinegar to clean their poles, does anyone know of any reason that vinegar would not be good to put on a pole or is it safe? 🙂
