I am new to poling, and bought a pole less than 2 months ago. I have half of an xjoint that  is rotating within the bottom of B pole. The other half of the xjoint ( on the top of A pole) is perfectly lined up. Because part of the xjoint is rotating, it has crimped the outside of the B pole a bit. I called Xpole, and they said it was because I didn't tighten it correctly. I followed video and manual, but the lady at Xpole told me the way she prefers to tighten the joint is not in the manual. She stated that she alternates tightening screws at 1/8 to 1/4 turns until both are tightened, whereas in the manual they alternate until tight. I was told to flip the B pole over, and try tightening her way, and it worked for a while, but it has done it again. The tope of B pole with extensions is perfectly aligned. I was told that I could buy another B pole and xjoint from them, but it is my responsibility. I will not fork over the money right now to buy new joint and part of pole because I'm cheap, and partly because I feel like I shouldn't have to, after buying an expensive pole and installing it the way provided in video and manual.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before, and what was done to fix it. I have taken the pole down a few times and gotten the joint out and reinstalled pole. Every time it works great for a while and I can't tighten either screw any tighter, and then 1/2 of that xjoint starts to rotate. It's frustrating.

You'll probably need to replace the B pole since it will most likely be stripped.

Proper care for your pole is this: evenly expand the x joint. Make sure it is sooooo tight. The hex key should flex when you tighten it. Check that the joint is tight everytime you use it. The joint can loosen over time and strip the pole, so it has to be checked frequently.

btw, I had that happen when I got my first xpert. They replaced the joint and b pole for free. Might call and complain about the lack of direction in the manual and see if they'll send you replacement pieces.

This happened to my X-Pole as well and they sent me a new B pole. All I paid for was the shipping. I would call again.

I called Xpole today, and explained the situation again. I told them about my experience last time talking to tech support. They did not hesitate to send me a new B pole and Xjoint this time. It should arrive in a few days. Thanks 🙂
