    Hi guys,

I just wanted to say hi since I am new here. Well, kind of. I am thinking of purchasing the year but I'm so torn. I got a 3 day free trial and I am loving it! I definitely think it is worth it content wise, there is no doubt about that. I have just never been very good at sticking to a schedule without a trainer. 🙁 I guess I just don't have the discipline at home and I have a 3 year old that never seems to want me to exercise. I've had a pole for about a year now. I do aerials and my equipment is outdoors so I got it for the winter thinking it'd be like silks but it is nothing like them. It feels so foreign to me. You would think I'd have an advantage with my background but it seems to be holding me back if anything. I have a lot of concerns about starting pole and I'm not sure if I'll really do well with it. Anybody have some feedback? This is the last day of my trial and I really can't make up my mind.

Why don’t you buy a month and do the 30 day takeoff! Then decide if you want a whole year. 🙂

I agree with dustbunny. Try the 30 day take off, register for a month of lessons. I'm nearing the end of my 30 day program and it's been a big help for me in scheduling practices/workouts.  I find that I'm not always motivated to work out on my own, so that's where these lessons definitely come in handy. On any given day, if there's a move that I feel I have mastered, I just switch it with something else that I want to learn.

Thanks guys 🙂 I don't know why my brain sees the best deal and thinks there's no other option. I literally only looked at the year because it's the best savings. Seems silly now. Truthfully though the 30 day take off I'm doing pretty good with and I'm on day three in 3 days but realistically it may take me 60 days to complete with my hectic lifestyle. I'm surprise anybody actually answered this. I like the community aspect of the site, I often get in funks and just need support to bring myself out of it. Reading the discussions and interacting with other people working on similar goals is a huge plus!

My 30 days are more like 60 too. On average, I go to 2 classes a day and also do stretching for splits so I can only manage 2-3 "30 days"/week.

(phewww, that's a lot of numbers!)

Don't be surprised that anyone answered this! This is the best site and everyone here is super supportive, if anything, these people will be your motivators for completing your 30 day challenge! I would definitely sign up for 30 days and if you find pole is making you happier and fitter, then you can sign up for a year. I go through bursts of pole activity – nothing for a week, then every day for a week – and it's often a scroll through SV that motivates me to get my ass into gear after some time off!

And lastly, don't worry about whether or not you will "do well" at pole, everyone's journey is different! Welcome!

Welcome!  It is really hard to push yourself at home.  Trust me, I have been there and this was before SV ever existed.  This is by far the best community.

Thanks everyone! 🙂 Today was the last day of my free trial and I just purchased the month so I'll be doing the 30 day challenge. Wish me luck!
