  • Cant hang from my left leg

For quite some months now, I have not been able to do any hanging from my left leg without a ton of pain that screams at me to get off of it. Any move that requires me to bite my left leg around the pole such as Gemini, Aerial climb, Superpain, etc. I just plain cant practice because it gets a sharp shooting pain around my hamstring. If I do push it by the time I get down from the pole quickly it feels very tight in the area. What may I have done to cause this? I dont even know what it is, is it a knot? A pull? Is it permanent? Does anyone have any advice, I cant stand not being able to practice all my moves on this side.

    Thanks Polers ðŸ™‚

How flexible are you in the splits? I wonder if your hamstring was overstretched or you pulled your nerves in the wrong spots?

Most nights I can do full splits on others I'm about 1-2 inches from the ground. I'm quite flexible. It doesn't hurt when its extended even in splits only when I have to bend it and put pressure on it. I'm surprised its lasted as long as it has.

I'm not really sure about your situation but when I had a stretching injury (adductor) I would get the kind of tightness that you described right after doing a straddle stretch. I think it took about two months and then I was able to do my full stretching again. I'm just guessing (and on top of that I know nothing lol) but I also think maybe you pulled something.
