Lil Mynx Rotator Question-
Hey everyone.
I inherited an older model Lil Mynx rotator. I have put it up and when we have it in spin mode, it is undoing itself so the tension is not there. When we put it up, I thought maybe we hadn't allowed enough extension to create the pressure needed. So, the next day when I put him up, I had him extended to the point where it took 2 of us to get him up and level over the slip pad. He was nice and tight at that point. However, he still loosened himself up to the point of "touch me and I fall over"
I called Lil Mynx this morning, but they are closed until Monday.
Has anyone had this happen? Or know what the possible cause is?
He was purchased second hand by a friend and then given to me……..So–Is it possible she bought a damaged pole?
I won't put him back up as it is too much risk for safety….but figured I would ask you Veeners if you had ever heard/seen this….
The ceiling height we have mounted it too—is 10ft.
When my friend purchased this pole, she was told it would safely go up to 10 feet. I am however thinking this pole is the standard lil mynx rotator that is meant to safely go to 9 foot ceilings. Is there any way to tell by measuring the extension piece? I have never used a lil mynx before, and I like the grip….but it is not worth the safety risk if he isn't meant for our ceiling height.
Thanks!!
