I think that move is typically called the jenyne tumble. Aerial amy has a blog post/video on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38Vtj7K6KTs

    Tips:

    1. Be brave

    2. Go to your brass monkey side

    3. Be prepared for some bruised knees (at least I bruised my knees the first few times)

Before I knew the name, I called it the 420 drop because in most performances Jenyne does that move at almost exactly 4:20 every video.

Aha! You ladies kick ass! I can't wait to try this tonight. That was a great tutorial too, I was getting flustered trying to do this, and I realize my hips weren't off the pole far enough. Thanks for the help! I'll post some progress pics once I nail it!

I also remembered seeing this trick float around a while back, but I've never attempted this variation either.

Anyone else have some funky drops to try??

So I gave this trick a little tumble.. ha ha. I will need to try this again while filming, not sure if  I had bad arm positioning – I kept getting pole burn on the outside of my hooking arm? I also think I wasn't extending enough to make room for the transition. I did however hit my cheba split without feeling as nervous. =)
